Directions: From Morgantown, go to Route 176 to the end and get on Route 422 East for about two miles. Turn right West 47^thStreet. 47^thStreet will change its name to Gibraltar Road. All told, this is 1.2 miles. Trailhead parking on the right. If you cross the Schuylkill River, you missed it.

Meet Hike Leaders Alison and Bob Gagnon 610-547-0034, robertgagnon@verizon.net, for a day hike on Section 1B of the Appalachian Trail in NJ and Pennsylvania. The hike is from the Kittatinney Point Visitors Center parking lot, NJ, to the Fox Gap Trailhead. This will be a shuttle hike.

Location: meet at the Fox Gap Trailhead at 8:30 AM for shuttle to the Kittatinney Point, NJ, Visitors Center parking lot.

Directions: We will meet at 8:00 AM at the Appalachian Trail, Fox Gap Parking Area, PA-191, Bangor, PA 18013. GPS coordinates 40.9355, -75.1970. We will shuttle from there to the Kittatinney Point Visitors Center parking lot, Old Mine Road, Columbia, NJ.

Meet HL John Trexler, (484) 329-2350, for a walk through the village of Arden and surrounding woodlands. Arden came to life as a Summer arts colony and Utopian community in 1900. Meet at the Arden Gild Hall.

Directions: Head south on U.2. 202. 0.7 miles past the Delaware line, turn left at the Rte. 92/Naamans Road traffic light. In 0.9 miles (3^rd traffic light), turn right onto Grubb Road. Continue 2.5 miles on Grubb Road/Harvey Road, then turn right onto Orleans Road (4^th traffic light). Keep to the left at the fork in the road, and the Gild Hall will come up quickly on your left.

Directions: St. Matthews Road is across from St. Matthews United Church of Christ located on Route 401, (1.5 miles from Route 100 or 2.7 miles from Route 113). Take St. Matthews Road for 2.7 miles, the lot is on the right. GPS will get you close – Look for the Opalanie Park sign.

Google Directions: From I-95 North towards Philadelphia Take Exit 17, head right on the ramp for PA-611 North towards Pattison Avenue (0.6 mi), Make a U Turn (0.3mi), Road name changes to South Broad Street (0.1 mi), Bear right, then bear right onto South Broad Street ( 0.4 mi), turn left onto Kitty Hawk Avenue ).

Dee's directions: take the Scenic Route which involves going over the George Platt Bridge and a small lift bridge. From I-95 North towards Philadelphia use the right two lanes to take Exit 13 towards I-76 West (1.4 mi), Merge onto Penrose Avenue. Serious Hikers: This hike is intended for the serious hiker who has done three or more hikes of 15 miles or more. At a bare minimum, hikers should be able to hike at a rate of 2.5 to 3 miles an hour for 14 hours over mountainous terrain.

Checkpoints: There are 9 checkpoints along the way providing water/Gatorade and snacks to the hikers, including lunch food at the Washington Monument checkpoint which is the halfway mark (21 miles).

Camp Round Meadow: Stay the night of May 22nd at the Catoctin Mountain Park, Camp Round Meadow (https://www.nps.gov/cato/planyourvisit/camp-round-meadow.htm). Cost is included in the registration fee which is $60.00 plus fees.

This is a joint hike with Tyler Arboretum members, and members of the public are also invited to participate. Tyler membership, a guest pass, or payment of entry fee is required. Admissions are: Adults (ages 18-64): $18; Seniors (65+), and Veterans: $15; Military, and children ages 3-17, and students with valid ID: $10; Tyler members - Free. To expedite entry processing through the Visitor Center, Tyler is requesting pre-registration from their Website’s Event Calendar page (https://tylerarboretum.org/calendar). CCTC does not have a registration requirement; there is no limit on the number of hikers. The gate to the parking lot opens at 9:00 AM; park in the lot. Directions: From the intersection of PA-100 & PA-23, continue north on PA-100 for 2.0 miles. Turn left onto West Hoffecker Road. After 0.5 miles, turn right on Laurelwood Road. After 0.1 miles, turn left onto Temple Road. After 1.0 mile, take a slight left onto St. Peters Road. After 0.5 miles, turn left to stay on St. Peters Road. After 0.5 miles, turn left onto Fernbrook Lane. The first parking lot is very small. Take the left fork and continue until you reach remote parking.

Directions: From South, follow Route 202 North towards West Chester. Turn right onto Route 926 and follow to traffic light at S Concord Road. Turn left at light and follow S Concord to Oakbourne Park and mansion on left, 1014 S Concord Rd. Turn left into park and follow road around to Mansion - park in lot to the right of the mansion.

From North, follow Route 202 South to S. Matlack St light. Turn Left onto S. Matlack St (FedEx is on right). Follow S Matlack street (it curves around to the left downhill along park, then bears right at bottom of hill where it becomes S Concord Rd; Oakbourne Park entrance will be on your right, 1.1 miles from Route 202). Turn right into park entrance and follow road around to Mansion - park in lot to the right of the mansion.

We'll walk through the yard at the Westtown Station Gallery pottery art; you may want to browse the art pieces on the way back. Those who wish can join us at the Salty Cow for an early lunch or ice cream (opens at 11am; offers outdoor seating in nice weather).
Hike will be on varied paths; half mile paved path in the park, quarter mile on railroad track, some grass and paved paths skirting the high school, and walking through some residential streets. Some gentle slopes.

Directions: From intersection of Route 202 and Route 926 (Street Rd) proceed East on Route 926 for 1.9 miles; turn right. Park is behind the Salty Cow restaurant

Meet HLs Elizabeth & Mark Creager, 610-513-3328 in the Battle of the Clouds parking lot for this walk on the paved bike trail. We'll walk 3 miles East on the CVT, then return to the BOC parking lot (6 miles). For those who want to continue, we'll walk West another 1.5 to Church Farm School and back (3 miles), making the total 9 miles.

Directions: from Business Route 30 in Frazer, turn on to Planebrook Road (Wawa gas station on the corner). Turn right on to Phoenixville Pike and continue to the park on the right.
