Meet Hike Leader George March, 610.384.3753 (H), in the area behind the Arboretum’s Visitor Center for a hike exploring the Arboretum’s outer, inner, and connecting trails. This is a joint hike with Tyler Arboretum members, and members of the public are also invited to participate. Tyler membership, guest passes, or payment of entry fees is required. Admissions are: Adults (ages 18-64): $15; Seniors (65+): $13; Military and students with valid ID: $9, Tyler members - Free. The gate to the parking lot opens at 9:00 AM; park there and then check in at the Visitor Center window. Proceed to circle-up at 9:30 AM in front of the Barn on the grass area. Directions: From West Chester travel south on route PA 352 (Middletown Road), turn east (left) onto Forge Road to merge with Painter Road, then 400 yards south to entry gate and parking lot on the left. Address: 515 Painter Road, Media, PA 19063. Bring water and snack.(NOTE: Although the hike is announced as Class B/C, 5-7 Miles, because the hike will end at 12:00 PM, the number of miles hiked will be affected by trail conditions affected by the recent snowstorm. Hiking poles are recommended, and micro-spikes should be considered.)
