Early exit possible at 7.5 mile park near Ambler if participants want to take SEPTA train back to North Wales. Directions: From Pa Turnpike Exit Fort Washington, take Route 309 South to exit for Route 73(Church Road). Drive Route 73 West for a very short while and turn left onto Arlingham Rd. Drive about .4 miles and turn left onto Bethlehem Pike and then a quick right onto West Valley Green Road. Drive about .7 miles and parking lot will be on right. There maybe other routes you may want to take so check your own mapping app. Address: Parking lot is across the street from Philadelphia Cricket /Club Golf Course,6025 West Valley Green Road, Flourtown, PA 19031 GPS: 40.107678, -75.223180.NOTE: Hikers may want to park at the trail starting point at Parkside Place in North Wales for a 9:00 AM start, but please call Bob in advance since we need to have enough cars at the end point to shuttle everyone back.
Bob McGinnis requests that you arrive early enough at the Flourtown shuttle point for a departure to North Wales at 8:30. It is approximately a 25 minute hike to the starting point at Parkside Place and it would be great if we could kick off the hike no later than 9:10. In addition, the address listed in the write-up, 6025 West Valley Green Road, Flourtown, PA 19031, is for the Philadelphia Cricket Club golf parking lot directly across the street from the trailhead parking.
