Meet the hike leader, Pradip Bhatnagar (484-252-1947) for an exciting hike on Conestoga Trail from Pequea to Holtwood Recreational area at Route 30/Route 10 crossing in Parkesburg Home Depot parking lot at 7:30 AM. It will be a car-pool and car shuttle hike. We will start from Pequea and finish at Holtwood Recreational area, Hike leader, had scouted this hike few weeks ago. It is one of the most beautiful hikes but quite strenuous. Expected pace is about 1.5-1.75 MPH. The trail is (7.5 miles long) located near Holtwood, Pennsylvania. Elevation gain is about 2100’. The trail is (7.5 miles long) is rated as difficult. This trail takes you up a steep hill to overlooks of the river, and a nice crossing of the Tucquan Creek. This section of the trail is an up and down hike through the creek valleys back to the tracks and back up to the Pinnacle overlook. Be prepared and bring snacks, lunch and water. Please let the hike leader know by Saturday night (October 2, 2021) if you plan to join this exploratory hike. We may leave earlier than 7:30 if all the interested individuals are at the car-pooling place.
