Meet HL Pradip Bhatnagar, 484-252-1947, at Lenape. Address:1334 Lenape Rd, West Chester, PA 19382, near Route 52 and Pocopson Rd. We will shuttle to Mortonville (2096 Strausburg Rd., PA 19320). We will hike from Mortonville to Lenape. Hiking on roads is involved. Parking is very limited. We can park 3-4 cars on the side of the road on the Brandywine bridge on Route 52. There is a big private parking lot (Lenape Forged Product Corporation) but I am not sure if we can use it on Saturday.
In Mortonville, I have talked to a person (Colleen) from Brandywine outfitters and she has graciously agreed to allow us to park 2-3 cars in their parking lots. However, we have to inform them in advance. Therefore, in order to know how many cars are needed for shuttling, I would like know by Thursday, March 10 how many people are interested in doing this hike. At least 60-70% of the hike is on the road. The Blazes have been decolorized although they are still visible. Historically, it is reported to be an 11 mile hike, however, I can not estimate the distance correctly. It may very well can be 13-15 miles. Map for this trail is not available and I am counting on the help from the legends of the club. This hike is dedicated to them.
