SUSQUEHANNOCK TRAIL SYSTEM BACKPACKING TRIP (Friday, June 24 to Saturday, July 2, 2022) (loop of 85 miles-Class C+) This is a Class C+ backpacking trip on the Susquehannock Trail System (STS). The STS is a remote 85- mile loop trail that’s located in Potter and Clinton counties of PA (far north-central). Along its lengthy route, it largely follows old CCC fire trails, logging roads, logging railroad grades, and meanders through the remote and unspoiled woodlands of PA Susquehannock State Forest. The STS passes few signs of modern civilization and reaches into very remote state forest areas with a particular sense of quietude and seclusion. Arrival is Friday, June 24. More details to follow.
