Hike will be along the western shore of the Susquehanna River and feature several stream crossings, numerous climbs and descents including a steep climb on switchbacks away from Muddy Creek, over and around large rocks, and descend a rock face on rungs. Explore Peavine Island. Pass by remnants of Lock 12 and the restored Lock 15 at Exelon’s Interpretive Center. HL requests participants to confirm attendance by Friday evening. We can meet up in the Home Depot parking area behind the Arby’s Restaurant (800 Commons Drive Parkesburg, PA 19365) to carpool with a 7:00 AM departure, maximum number of hikers per car is 2 since this is a shuttle hike.
