First Carpool Meeting Directions: For carpooling, meet at 8:30 AM behind Arby's in the Walmart Shopping Center at the intersection of Routes US 30 and PA 10 in western Chester County (Parkesburg). NOTE: For those who find it more convenient, there will be an ADDITIONAL carpool meeting place: at 9:00 AM in the rear parking lot of the Walmart located along PA 10 north of Oxford, approximately one mile south of US 1. The hike leader will be there, enroute from the first meeting place. Directions: Proceed south on PA 10 from the intersection of US 1 to the second traffic light (Auto Zone store on the northwest corner). Turn right and drive approximately 500 feet into the Walmart rear parking lot. The hike will begin at 9:30 AM from the parking lot at Glenroy Preserve. Direct Driving Directions: From the intersection of the Nottingham (PA 272) exit on the US 1 Bypass southbound in southern Chester County, turn right on PA 272 (W Christine Road) and drive 2.3 miles to the preserve entrance on the right. If you get to the bridge on the Octorara River, you went about 100 yards past the preserve entrance.
