Meet HL Gene Pisasale, 610-304-3993, for this walk and learn hike. Gene, a Kennett Square resident, is a local historian and author. Being a former petroleum geologist. Gene will like to comment on the landforms, geology and a bit on the local flora/fauna for the group to enjoy. The park is located just off Route 1 at Kennett Square. Gene will be handing out a brief narrative of the Park along with free mineral samples collected around the area. Rock and mineral lovers will enjoy this.

HIKE DETAILS: The hike will start at the back side of the park adjacent to the soccer fields then hike through the park and around the trout pond near the water tower and then back to the beginning parking area..Gene will hand out free copies of an article he wrote titled “An Oasis in a Small town: the Simple Beauty of Anson B. Nixon Park” which ran in the Kennett Square Life magazine insert within The Chester County Press a while back.
