Meet HL Dee McGrath, 610-331-7410, for a shorter version of the HAD . We will meet in Delaware City and hike the canal route until we make it to the Ice Cream Shop which is the 5 mile turn around point. Anyone who wishes to do less may do so at any point just inform the HL. This hike will give us time to enjoy the beauty of the area without the pressure to finish within a certain time frame. Once we return to Delaware City we can meet up with friends who may be finishing the HAD. If the Ice Cream and the scenery is not enough lunch is also an option. This hike is not sponsored by the Wilmington Trail Club.

Directions: From I - 95 South take exit 11 for I-495 South towards the Port of Wilmington. Take exit 1 for US-13 South towards Dover, keep right at the fork, follow signs for US-13 South /Airport/Dover. Keep left to stay on US-13 South, Turn left on Hamburg Road then turn right onto DE-9 South, Turn left to stay on DE-9 South, Turn left onto Clinton Street.

Bring Water and snacks.
