Meet HL Lori Kier, 610-620-5111, for a short beginner hike at Historic Poole Forge Park in Narvon, PA (https://historicpooleforge.org/), a 26-acre site with a preserved historic ironmaster's mansion, nature trail, many beautiful gardens and a covered bridge across the Conestoga River.
Address: 1940 Main Street, Narvon, PA 17555. (Main Street is the same as State Route 23.) We will meet at the main parking area just off Route 23, and spend the first hour walking through the beautiful park grounds, which are mostly flat. Depending on conditions, we will either stay on the macadam or walk through meadows so please wear footwear that is water-resistant. (We will not go into the grassy areas if there is standing water so waterproof footwear is not required).
After our walk, we will head to the park's historic mansion at 11 am, where we will view a photography show consisting of at least 10 diverse photographic artists. Admission and parking are free. Watch this site if you are interested in which photographers will have their work displayed as it will be updated with biographies before the show: https://historicpooleforge.org/event/photogaphy-show/. Restrooms are available.
Feel free to meet us for the walk, the show, or both events. Happy to answer any questions in advance at: lgkier@gmail.com
