Club News & Announcements

    • Beginning in April, eight of the busiest Natural Lands preserves will be closed to the public one day a week to allow for trail maintenance and natural areas management. To view the list and schedule of closures, visit the Natural Lands website.
    • The regular Wednesday evening hike will return to Valley Forge Natl. Park on April 7th. The meeting time remains 6:00 pm. Check the hike calendar for more details.
    • It has come to our attention that the Annual Brandywine End-to-End Hike has been canceled for 2021. The Annual C&O Canal 100K Hike has also been canceled for this year. No word yet on the Hike Across Delaware- stay tuned!
    • If you are actively using the Hot Line, we would like to hear from you. Kindly send an email to the Hike Scheduler at cctrailclub.hikesched@gmail.com letting us know if you use the Hot Line and under what circumstances you use it.
    • Some Comcast.net email users may not be receiving email announcements delivered to their inboxes. Comcast updates and changes its settings from time to time. Here is a Troubleshooting Guide that may help you edit your comcast mail settings.
    • The March, 2021 edition of the Keystone Trails Assoc. newsletter, the Keystone Hiker, has been posted in the Member Section.
    • The Club has amended its Covid-19 Requirements and Procedures for CCTC Hiking. The current document can be found here. *Note, some hikes may now require registration if the Hike Leader has restricted the number of participants. These hikes will be bright pink on the Hike Calendar. Please familiarize yourself with the "Individual Responsibilities" listed in the updated document.
    • The Club has updated its Liability Release & Hold Harmless Agreement. The new and current version of the agreement can be found here. The revised CCTC Hike Sign in Sheet includes the updated language. All Hike Leaders should begin using the new form effective November 24, 2020. 

    • Congratulations to Kathy Borrell for hiking the most miles in the Club's hiking year, October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020! Kathy logged 1,239.1 miles to become the 2019-2020 Trailmaster.
